Dodge Ball

On July 16th 2008 we held this semester’s dodgeball tournament. A total of 14 talented teams came out to battle in our double elimination tournament. The winning team, Pangaea, eliminated 5 teams to become the undefeated champions. The second place team, Gigantocellularis Hurlers, battled back from an early defeat to make it to the championship game. But there quest for glory failed short as they were knocked out in the final game and walked away with second place.

Many students cheered on as the two faculty teams took the court and a best of three series. The winning team of Dr. Hernandez, Dr. King, Dr. Ernst (sporting great dodgeball apparel), and Andrea Gerber fought back from a first game loss to take top honors. The other faculty team of Dr. Averill, Dr. Sheakly, Mark Sheakly, and Dr. Barremkala put up a good fight. Both teams put on a good show. Overall the event was a success and we raised $1150 for The Salybia Mission Project.
